Bride of Re-Animator
Dr. Herbert West and Dr. Dan Cain experiment in creating new life. Although they are friends, Dr. Cain sometimes questions Dr. West's judgement and ethics. (Dr. West can re-animate severed body parts and reattach them in bizarre combinations.) West prevails upon Cain to continue their partnership when he offers to recreate Cain's deceased sweetheart, Meg. Beginning with Meg's actual heart, which has been preserved, West begins to assemble the "perfect" woman with body parts acquired from a variety of sources. Their activities have aroused the suspicions of a police lieutenant who keeps them under surveillance. In the meantime, Dr. Cain has a new romantic interest, Francesca, who is very much alive and assembled quite nicely by nature. Francesca has a pet dog who is her devoted companion.

Featured Animal Action
A variety of real and fake animals are used and intermingled in scenes using many special effects. In all laboratory scenes where a lizard or a bat is dissected or mutilated, fake animals and/or special effects were used. A fake lizard was used to simulate a dead one. When the dog and man fight and the dog has his paw ripped off, a fake dog was used. In all scenes where the dog appears dead, a fake dog was used. In the scene where you see a human arm on the dog, a man was lying on the floor out of camera range. He extended his arm under the dog to create the illusion that it was attached to the dog.
