Curiosity Kills

A suspense-filled story of murder and underworld drug trade connected with the police department. Cat, a struggling artist, is living in a delapidated building as the superintendent. One day when water is flooding the hallway, Cat discovers his good friend in the bathtub with his wrists slashed. The "slumlord" immediately brings in a new tenant to fill the deceased man's apartment and Cat is convinced (as he has been eavesdropping through the air shaft) that this new tenant, Madis, is responsible for the death of his friend. Through much amateur detective work, Cat and one of his neighbors, Lisa, discover that Cat is right. Madis needed the apartment to do the job he was hired to do. Madis is a hit man employed by a police detective to kill a witness who is to testify against a major drug king.

Featured Animal Action

All animal action is very mild. There are two scenes with a rat running through an air shaft. The rat was placed in a simulated air shaft by the trainer and followed a given path with food rewards. A house cat, named Phil, is seen lying on the couch resting and licking his paw. In another scene he is sleeping under a blanket with Lisa. Other scenes entail Phil being petted, sitting on the stairs, being held, and walking through the living room.
