There are a few scenes which involve dogs. In one, a dog is standing beside a trash can in a parking lot. It whimpers then walks across the lot. Later, a dog barks and runs towards a girl, but is stopped by its leash which is connected to the dog house. For these scenes, the trainer placed the dog on his mark and cued him with verbal and hand commands. In another scene, one of the angels walks into a brick wall and his shadow explodes into a flock of flying crows. This special effects shot was inserted during post-production.
