Featured Animal Action

There are several rodeo scenes in the film involving bronco busting, steer roping and the usual rodeo background. The production company filmed The Cochise College Rodeo Team and coaches for all of the rodeo scenes. Other animal action consists of a horse seen hitched to a tree, being fed by the actor or standing in a field. There are a few scenes on a ranch where ranch hands are seen riding from A to B. In one scene where the actor is breaking a horse for riding, a stunt-double and a trained rearing horse were used. American Humane was not notified until several weeks into the filming of the animal action. Therefore, we were unable to monitor all of the scenes involving animals. However, after conferring with the wranglers and production company we are rating Ruby Jean And Joe "Acceptable".
