Featured Animal Action

In the scene when the two actors pull a steer into a high school locker room, production put down plywood floors with mats on top. The actors led the steer by a lead rope. The trainer spread bread and granola on the ground to keep the steer in one place.

When the cops chase kids in their car and they swerve around the cow in the road, the cow was never close to the car. First, production tied a rope from the cow to a steak in the ground. On action, the car was driven past the cow, followed by two police cars. Production made sure the cow was a safe distance from the passing cars. The cars were driven by stunt drivers and the area was closed to traffic.

In the scene where we see a scorpion crawling on a rock, Animal action the same for both scenes, the trainer used tongs to place the two scorpions on the foam rock. The actors stood in the background, nowhere near the scorpions. The scorpions crawled around their rocks. If a scorpion crawled off the rock, the nearest trainer picked it up and placed it back on the rock.
