Featured Animal Action

Throughout the film, Wilson has a pet dog, who is seen performing such mild action as sitting/standing/lying, being held or petted, and walking/running on or off leash. For all of these scenes, trainers used hand signals and verbal commands to cue the mild action, which the trained dog was accustomed to performing. The barking/growling was also a trained behavior.

In the scene when the woman pets the dog on the couch, the dog’s trainer showed the actress how to pet the dog, and basically got them acquainted with each other.

In the scene where the dog walks on a leash in the park and jumps on the actress’s leg, the trainer showed the actress how to hide a treat from the dog, so he would jump up on her.

Due to late notification and/or limited resources, American Humane Association did not monitor some of the dog action.
