Featured Animal Action
In two brief scenes, an extra walks by with a dog on a leash. The dogs were handed over to the actor just before the cameras rolled and retrieved on cut. As Colin (Matt Damon) exits the elevator of his apartment building, a woman with a West Highland white terrier tries to enter. When Colin bends down to pet the dog, the woman tugs on the leash to avoid this contact. The non-operating elevator was part of an indoor set built by the production. A trainer showed the actress how to tug the leash without jerking or hurting the Westie. American Humane also monitored a scene with a gray dumbo rat that does not appear in the final release. However, the action was filmed in full compliance with our Guidelines.
