In the scene where the actress claps her hands and a white dove flies from the crowd, the shot was achieved by the bird being placed in the crate. The bird handler was standing amongst the crowd with the bird, and placed the bird on the bench with a small quantity of seed. The actress continued her magic act and swooped her arms towards the Pigeon. On this cue, the handler whistled to the bird and held up a target for the bird. The bird immediately flew to Anthony (10 foot) above the heads of the crowd and entered a holding crate.
In the scene where the bird flies from the man’s zipper, this was accomplished with CGI.
In the scenes where the woman holds the bird and its head falls off, production used a man made model pigeon.
Due to late notification, American Humane Association did not monitor any of the fish and some of the bird action.
